"Lifting weights makes women bulky and manly"… I think not!
I was going through pictures from an old photoshoot I did when I first started training and came across a bunch of “glute” and profile shots. The picture on the left was from when I had only been lifting for about 4 months or so. The progress picture on the right was taken just last week. I had a pancake booty before I started lifting.. And no I didn’t get BUTT implants lol At this point I’ve been lifting weights for 3 years.
I’ve made my fair share of mistakes along the way… eating too much, eating too little, doing too much cardio, not lifting heavy enough, binging, skipping workouts… the list goes on. But the reason I am where I am today is because I never let myself give up.
Challenge yourself in the gym, stay consistent with your workouts and nutrition, motivate yourself however you can. Being healthy and fit doesn’t always come easily, but the best things in life usually don’t! Work hard and don’t quit!
If you aren’t sure where to start or need some motivation to get back into it, I have a bunch of free workouts, recipes, fitness tips, nutrition tips and other articles on my website! I also have a home-workout Bikini Body Program and gym/weight-lifting Fit Body Program on my website:  muffin-topless.com

You need to be content with small steps. That’s all life is. Small steps that you take every day so when you look back down the road it all adds up and you know you covered some distance. It took me a long time to accept that, but it’s true. You need to have patience.

1 year 9 months in the making! -133 pounds and gained a lot of muscle!

sixtyfive86:

16 months/486 days of focusing on my behavior rather than the goal. I’ve tripped and fallen flat faced in the mud many times over. Some days I jump right back up to my feet, others I can only manage to crawl, and sometimes I sit for a moment and make mud pies- always finding within me the flame (however small or large it may be) to continue. Steadily, I keep moving forward with an intention of love, understanding, and deep compassion for myself. Anointing this same salve of intention onto the many cracks and crevices of my fragmented life, I create and nurture my future physical and mental well-being through the present moment. Hand extended, I reach out to that self that has for so long searched outwardly for what resides within. Beckoning my own arrival, I’m bringing myself home- one day at a time.

Reminding myself that change takes time. Be patient. The days you wonder how you’ll ever get to your goal are the days you need to stop and look at how much closer you already are.
